Vile Manor - concept
Vile Manor is a website that was developed in the year 2001, the name taken from a poem entitled 'Collapse' by Babs Crump. Vile Manor as a concept was a location in what has developed into the world detailed in Babs' epic fantasy/science fiction series 'The Chronicles of Vandel'. The character Seven eth'Ne created Vile Manor to be her home and a portal to the hell-like dimension of her world.
Much like its original macabre and mysterious intentions, Vile Manor the website has become the writer's own home to use as an outlet for her creations - which often feature characters struggling to survive in the cruel realities of the world, as opposed to the near-utopia many writers feature in their creations. Common themes include violence, discrimination, and hate - not to judge or commentate, but simply paint a picture of life.
"Hell on Earth" is the original description of Vile Manor and continues to describe its dark nature.
The world is not a pretty place, and Vile Manor revels in that fact.
